My client is a well-established family run company in Huntingdon who are looking for a Delivery & Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.
Main Duties
Unloading deliveries and checking goods for damage or defects
Booking stock in and out using internal systems
Preparing furniture, including drilling accurate hinge holes – precision is key
Handling and moving heavy furniture and appliances
Delivering goods to client properties – some deliveries may involve stairs in flats or apartments
Driving a 3.5-ton van to complete deliveries
Representing the company professionally in client homes – politeness and respect are essential
Skills / Requirements
Must be 25 or older (for van insurance purposes)
Full UK driving licence
Confident driving a 3.5-ton van
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing furniture
Excellent customer service skills – courteous and respectful at all times
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
Hours & Pay
Monday to Friday – 07:30 until 16:00
28 days AL (including bank holidays)
