Due to expansion, we are now looking to recruit an experienced mechanic/technician to join our fantastic workshop in Belfast. Competitive hourly rate negotiable depending on experience plus regular training & development, excellent on-site facilities and pension scheme.
This role is completely flexible insofar as no brand experience is necessary. We welcome candidates with experience in other makes & models!
*Responsibilities:*
* Carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes and suspension systems.
* MOT preparation
* Carry out inspections
* Diagnostic work and fault finding
* You will also learn to use our brand's in-house systems and complete paperwork such as job cards and service sheets.
* Develop your skills & experience to the next level of your career.
*Qualifications/Experience:*
* Able to conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
* Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
* Commercial vehicle experience
* Driving license
* Mechanic experience: 3 years (preferred)
* City & Guilds Automotive (preferred)
* IT literate.
* Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
* Adhere to all standards set forth by Desmond Motors.
*Work Schedule :*Our Mechanics work 5 out of 7 days each week Monday-Friday.
* Monday to Thursday 9 am - 5:30 pm
* Friday 9am - 4:30pm
* Saturday & Sunday closed.
* Occasional late evenings may be required.
