FTC role 6 months | Social Housing Maintenance | Van & Fuel Card Provided
Position good to knows
Working both on your own and in a team across an organisations offices, properties and sites where you will be driving a van and be required to be manually hands on.
Your key duties
-
Collecting and loading bulky waste and discarded material into a company van, before transporting them to the appropriate facility; be it either storage or waste depending on the material

Assisting trades undertaking damp and mould repair and refurbishment works

Decorating and general maintenance and repairs

Completing responsive repairs and maintenance as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner

Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required

Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects

Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices

Affording excellent customer service to client representatives
-
Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times
-
Operating within the company’s occupational road risk policies and procedures

You will be expected to sweep and tidy up in properties that the damp and mould trades are working in
Other good to knows
-
The geographical patch could cover properties stretching from Leicestershire postcodes LE6, LE7, LE14, LE15 and LE16

You will be given a van to use for this role and the expectation would be that you will leave you home each morning arriving and go to your first job

You should have basic IT skills as using a PDA and sending emails to customers and line management would be expected
What’s needed from you
✔ UK driving licence | No more than 6 points
✔ Good driving skills and awareness using a van
✔ Physically fit and able to lift and move materials
✔ Good timekeeping
✔ An outgoing customer service approach
✔ Good communication skills
✔ Adaptability
✔ Operate a handheld PDA to log works - training will be given
✔ Ability to work well in a team environment
✔ Able to take direction also work on your own initiative
