We are currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Court Usher to join the team at Cambridge Crown Court.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the public sector, supporting the daily operations of the court and ensuring hearings run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist all court users, including members of the public, judiciary, jurors, and legal professionals
Prepare and clear courtrooms before and after hearings
Escort and support witnesses and other court visitors
Manage general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scanning, and post handling
Operate office and court equipment (e.g. recording devices, franking machines, photocopiers)
Maintain stock of court forms and supplies
Answer phone calls and handle face-to-face enquiriesRequirements:
Previous admin or customer service experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable dealing with sensitive or confidential information
Confident using Microsoft Office and general IT systems
