Vangoo Ltd are based in Bristol and specialise in new and used commercial vehicles. Due to our new acquisition of adjoining premises we are now opening our own brand new body shop and require a full team with experience for immediate start.
We are seeking a skilled Panel Beater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle body repair and restoration, demonstrating proficiency in using various tools and techniques to restore vehicles to their original condition. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
*Responsibilities*
* Repair and replace damaged panels on vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Assess vehicle damage and determine the best repair methods while interpreting schematics.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes and timelines, providing excellent customer service.
* Assemble parts as required during the repair process, ensuring all components fit correctly.
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment used in the repair process to ensure optimal performance.
* Carry out heavy lifting tasks as necessary when handling large panels or components.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
* Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is essential.
* Minimum 2 years experience in a panel beating role
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience in customer service is advantageous, as interaction with clients is part of the role.
* Ability to interpret technical documents and schematics related to vehicle repairs.
