Yard Operative / Forklift Driver
£28k + Bonus
Northampton
Monday – Friday
My client is looking for 2 Yard Operatives to join their growing team on a permanent basis based in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have a licence for either counterbalance or a counterbalance telehandler and confident operating either one or both. In-house licences will be accepted if you can provide an in-date licence/certificate for either.
Duties include:
Accurately processing and picking customer orders
Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift truck
Carrying out manual handling tasks
Supporting customers by providing product and service information
Serving on the trade counter when needed
Keeping the yard safe, tidy, organised and professional in appearance
Any other duties required
The successful candidate will have / be:
Previous experience working in a warehouse/yard environment
Hold a licence/certificate for either a counterbalance forklift, or a counterbalance telehandler – Only one will be needed, but it is highly advantageous to have both
Happy to work in all weather conditions
Able to support customers both in person and over the phone
A can-do attitude and able to support in multiple areas
