*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a strong mechanical background, a current UK driving license, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
* Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively during inspections and repairs.
* Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance as necessary to ensure vehicle safety.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any issues identified during testing.
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining test results and necessary repairs to vehicle owners.
* Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
* Carry out additional tasks as required when MOT testing is quiet
*Requirements*
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
* Valid MOT Tester certification is preferred but not essential for candidates willing to undergo training.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of the role.
* A team player with good communication skills, capable of working independently when required.
