We are seeking passionate, highly skilled Registered Children’s Home Manager for our homes in Hyde and Registered manager for our home in Oldham to lead our Ofsted-regulated children’s homes, each supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs (EBD). This is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact across two homes and lead dedicated teams to deliver outstanding, trauma-informed care.
You will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of both services, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance. Your leadership will drive both homes toward “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings, creating nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations of two children’s homes in accordance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
* Provide inspirational leadership to management and care staff across both homes.
* Ensure effective safeguarding practices are embedded and followed.
* Maintain full compliance with all statutory requirements, legislation, and company policies.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multi-agency professionals.
* Monitor performance, implement quality assurance measures, and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
* Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively across both sites.
* Champion a child-centred, trauma-informed approach to care.
* Collaborate with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in children's health or behaviour.
* Promote a safe and nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and development for all children in our care
Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Proven experience managing a children’s residential home, ideally with dual-site or multi-site management.
* In-depth knowledge of children’s home regulations, safeguarding, and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a child-first approach.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
