A highly regarded Specialist School in Salford is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their expanding support team in the new year.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic, social, and emotional development of secondary-aged students who require a more focused and personalised approach to learning outside of mainstream education.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students aged 11-16 (KS3-KS4) throughout their school day. Your role will include:
Supporting students in the classroom with their academic work
Providing 1:1 and small-group support when required
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Helping ensure students feel safe, supported, and prepared to learn
Working closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and SEN specialists
This position offers the opportunity to build strong, trusting relationships with students and help them reach their full potential.

What We're Looking For
✔ Experience within a specialist education, residential, or care environment
✔ Strong teamwork, communication, and relationship-building skills
✔ Ability to implement positive behaviour strategies (training available)
✔ Resilience, patience, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment
✔ A relevant qualification (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or a psychology-related degree) is desirable but not essential
