JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead and develop the school’s behaviour strategy, ensuring a clear, consistent and restorative approach.

Oversee behaviour systems, including behaviour for learning, rewards, sanctions, and behaviour interventions.

Line-manage pastoral teams, including Heads of Year and support staff, ensuring effective collaboration.

Analyse behaviour, attendance and punctuality data to inform strategic decision-making.

Work closely with families, external agencies and safeguarding leads to support students with high-level needs.

Drive staff training and professional development around behaviour management and classroom culture.

Model outstanding leadership, communication and professional conduct always.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

A highly effective middle or senior leader with a proven impact on behaviour and pastoral provision.

Strong knowledge of current behaviour research, including trauma-informed and relational approaches.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at every level.

High expectations for pupils’ conduct, achievement and personal development.

The ability to inspire and challenge staff, students and families alike.
