Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Production Operatives to join our team in the food production industry. This position will involve working in a cold environment on night shifts to ensure the smooth operation of machines and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities
Operate and monitor food production machinery to ensure continuous and efficient processing.
Work in a cold environment to handle food products in compliance with safety and hygiene guidelines.
Conduct quality checks during the production process to maintain adherence to food safety standards.
Follow detailed instructions to meet production targets within allocated timeframes.
Handle, pack, and label finished food products according to company procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Collaborate with team members to support a continuous improvement environment.
Identify and report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
Experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential.
Ability to work night shifts in a cold environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic health and safety compliance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with precision.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and challenges.
Day-to-day
Attend the night shift briefing to understand targets and responsibilities.
Set up machinery and perform start-up checks to ensure all equipment is ready for production.
Process and package food products, adhering to quality and safety specifications.
Perform regular inspections of products to ensure compliance with company standards.
Engage in short breaks according to the work schedule while maintaining productivity.
Report to the shift supervisor and update on progress, issues, or completed tasks.
Complete end-of-shift cleaning and maintenance tasks in preparation for the next shift.
The shifts times are 20:00 - 05:30 working 5 days out of 7 per week.
The starting pay is £12.81/h.
