Job Title – Truck & Trailer Cleaning Operative
Reporting to – Transport Manager
Overall aim of the job – To ensure Green Label Holdings fleet of trucks and trailers are kept in a clean and sanitized condition to provide a safe environment to carry food products, working in an outdoor environment, as part of the Transport Team, liaising with the Transport Department with cleaning schedule plan. Working in a safe and constructive manner, as effectively as possible, always following SSOW procedures. Keeping accurate cleaning records to comply with BRC standards Recording cleaning records on our in-house tablet compliance system
Main Tasks:
• Liaise with Transport Department regarding daily wash schedule.
• Daily safety check of required equipment and PPE
• Ensure trucks and trailers are properly cleaned inside and out, using the correct chemicals paying particular attention to the inside of trailers, which must be safe to carry food products.
• Keeping accurate, documented cleaning records of which vehicles have been cleaned each day using our in-house tablet system.
• Keep stock of cleaning products and PPE to allow for ordering of additional stock in time.
• Report any defects found on vehicles during cleaning.
• To work with all other staff members in a positive and professional manner
• Comply, always, with safe systems of work and working procedures.
• Maintain all aspects of company policy (as per company handbook)
• Other duties may include helping yard shunters, assisting with unloading trays and other tasks that maybe requested by your manager
Requirements:
• Shunter license
• COSHH training – This is an advantage although training can be provided, by the company, for the right candidate.

Job Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 40 Hours per week.
Working Times: 06:00am start time, working hours to be discussed at interview stage. Extra hours and days to be worked over the Christmas Period, including weekend work.
Pay Rate: £13.05 per hour during probation and £13.40 per hour after a successful probationary period
