Job Title: Receptionist / Administrative Support

Contract Type: Temporary – Christmas Cover (until early January)
Job Purpose
The Receptionist will be responsible for delivering a professional, welcoming first impression while providing high-level administrative and clerical support. This role is central to the smooth day-to-day operation of the office, ensuring visitors, calls, and administrative tasks are handled efficiently and discreetly.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and direct visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Answer and manage incoming telephone calls or switchboard enquiries
Provide general information to visitors and callers
Receive, distribute, and dispatch packages via courier services
Maintain accurate visitor and call logs
Issue and manage security passes and visitor badges
Coordinate boardroom bookings and ensure rooms and equipment are prepared and maintained
Carry out general administrative duties including:
Typing and document preparation
Filing and record management
Photocopying, scanning, and binding documents
Preparing and distributing mail and internal communications
Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the wider team as required
Skills & Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads effectively
Confident working independently with minimal supervision
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to handle confidential information with discretion
Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience & Qualifications
2–4 years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative support role
Previous experience in a professional office environment preferred
