Responsibilities
* Hold overall responsibility for the management, leadership, and direction of a 6-bed children’s home in the Gravesend/Rochester area, with support from the Responsible Individual.
* Ensure the highest standards of care and performance, aiming for excellent support and positive outcomes for young people.
* Take the operational lead on all safeguarding matters within the home.
* Oversee training, supervision, and provide advice to support staff.
* Lead the development of the Children’s Home, ensuring a nurturing and positive environment for children.
* Go above and beyond to ensure children have a positive childhood experience that supports their development into adulthood.
Key Requirements
* Significant experience working in a residential childcare setting.
* Previous management or supervisory experience in a similar environment.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality care in line with OFSTED regulations.
* Experience with the regulatory inspection process and achieving quality ratings.
* Good understanding of SCCIF (Social Care Common Inspection Framework) guidelines.
* In-depth knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), learning disabilities, and complex/challenging behaviour needs of young people.
* Current UK Driving License.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) is essential, or willingness to complete it if not already held.
* Ideally, previous experience as a Registered Manager documented on Ofsted reports.
