Procurement/Buyer Assistant
Location: Inverness (Office-Based)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Salary: £28,500 - £35,000 DOE
Play a key role in driving value and efficiency across our supply chain.
We're looking for a proactive Procurement/Buyer Assistant to support our purchasing function and help deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions. This is a pivotal position where your attention to detail and commercial awareness will directly impact project success.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with sourcing materials, consumables, tools, and equipment.
Request and collect supplier quotations and pricing data.
Maintain accurate purchase order records and supplier databases.
Monitor deliveries and follow up on lead times and order status.
Support invoice reconciliation and resolve basic discrepancies.
Help prepare tender documentation and onboarding of new suppliers.
Compile procurement data and assist with spend and savings reports.
Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and maintain organised records.
What We're Looking For
Knowledge of supply chain activity and purchasing processes.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Commercial acumen and financial awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
IT literacy (Microsoft Office at intermediate level).Desirable:
Relevant qualification in purchasing/buying (CIPS preferred).
Previous experience in construction procurement.
Understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
