Job Purpose
We’re seeking a Contract Administrator to join our dynamic Business Planning team. This role offers a unique chance to gain a deep understanding of the railway industry by working across all areas of Chiltern and collaborating with various departments. It’s perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships and wants to grow their professional network.
As the link between Chiltern and the Department for Transport (DfT), you'll work closely with DfT and represent Chiltern in industry forums. The fast-paced environment requires adaptability and organization, with opportunities to tackle different workstreams and challenges throughout the year. You'll also be the go-to source for accurate, up-to-date information on Chiltern operations.
Key Accountabilities

Keeping Chiltern on track with delivery of our various requirements in the National Rail Contract and give assurance DfT colleagues that they have been completed.

Creating clear reports for Senior Managers who rely on the collective knowledge of the Business Planning team.

Responding to requests from DfT, using your internal network to provide them with clear and accurate information quickly.

Keeping things tidy on Business Planning’s SharePoint site, ensuring that people can find things easily and that our team meets the internal Data Retention Policy.

Building a strong professional relationship with DfT and other external colleagues, leaving people with positive impressions of Chiltern.

Attending official meetings and making sure the minutes and actions are recorded accurately.

Supporting other members of the team with important strategic activities, including the development of Chiltern’s Annual Business Plan and our Performance Based Fee submissions.
