What you’ll do as a Learning Support Assistant
You’ll work closely with children who benefit from additional guidance—whether that involves helping them navigate their routines, offering support with classwork, or encouraging them when tasks feel challenging. Your presence will help pupils grow in confidence, develop independence and build a positive connection with learning.
You’ll join a warm, experienced team that values communication, teamwork and a nurturing approach.
Your daily role will include:
Providing one-to-one and small-group support
Helping pupils stay focused and engaged during lessons
Using a calm, positive approach to behaviour
Supporting pupils with additional or complex needs
Working alongside teachers and SEND staff
Creating a reassuring, inclusive environment for every learner
What you’ll bring:
Experience working with children or young people
A patient, approachable and adaptable manner
Confidence supporting pupils with varied needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
