If you want a role where your work creates real change for people, places and the planet, you’ll love being part of Social Value Portal.
About Social Value Portal
We’re on a mission to deliver £100 billion in social value, helping organisations build a fairer, greener, and more inclusive society. Since 2014, we’ve become the UK’s market leader in social value measurement and reporting, partnering with public and private sector organisations to help them measure and grow their positive impact.
Our award-winning TOM System™ (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) helps organisations quantify and communicate the good they do - from supporting local communities to protecting the environment. To date, we’ve unlocked over £56 billion of social value, and we’re just getting started.
You’ll be joining a passionate team with big ambitions, backed by Series B investment to scale globally.
About the Role
This is a client-embedded position, where you’ll be based part of your time with our customer, GMCA, a forward-thinking authority driving innovation and social impact across Greater Manchester.
In this unique role, you’ll be the bridge between Social Value Portal and GMCA - supporting their teams to embed social value into procurement and supply chain processes, ensuring delivery partners contribute meaningfully to the region’s social, environmental and economic goals.
You’ll spend around two days a week in GMCA’s Manchester office, with the rest of the time working remotely, ensuring you stay connected with both organisations.
What You’ll Do
Champion social value across the GMCA and its supply chain partners.
Support the integration of the TOM System™ into GMCA’s procurement and reporting processes.
Deliver training and guidance to help stakeholders use the platform effectively.
Build trusted relationships across departments, suppliers and key external partners.
Monitor, analyse and report on social value data to evidence positive change.
Collaborate with our internal SVP teams to share feedback and improve customer experience.
This is a hands-on role that combines data, communication, and relationship management - ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, purpose-driven environments.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in a customer-facing, stakeholder or project support role (public sector or consultancy experience an advantage).
A genuine passion for social value, community impact or sustainability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills – you can simplify complex ideas for any audience.
Confidence working with data and reporting tools (Excel or similar).
Strong organisation and relationship-building skills.
Proactive mindset and the ability to work independently across multiple teams.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce (advantageous).
