Our client is an established contractor operating within the Passive Fire Protection sector. They are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team and support with pricing, coordination, and tender activity across a range of projects.
Role Overview
The Assistant Estimator will assist with the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, and project documentation while gaining hands-on exposure to the full pre-construction process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early experience in estimating who’s looking to develop within a specialist contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Support with preparing accurate cost estimates and tender documentation.
Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works.
Research and obtain material, supplier, and subcontractor quotes.
Assist in analysing project costs and tracking budgets.
Coordinate information between internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
Maintain accurate project documentation and pricing records.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience as an Assistant Estimator or similar in construction.
Understanding of quantity take-offs and basic estimating principles.
Strong Excel and general IT skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Confident communicator and proactive team player.
