About the role
Are you ready to drive sustainable profitability and make a significant impact in the food service market? As a Key Account Manager at Kerry, you’ll focus on identifying opportunities and creating value for key accounts. You’ll lead market activities with a comprehensive menu management approach, supported by applications and marketing. In this role, you’ll build and maximize multi-level relationships with strategic customers, demonstrating the Kerry value proposition. You’ll gain commercial experience working with major QSR industry players and influence key decision-makers both internally and externally. Your efforts will help achieve targeted sales objectives and position Kerry as the top-of-mind partner for our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen customer relationships with Kerry, including overseeing all customer activities in accordance with customer segmentation guidelines.
- Complete commercial agreements with customers in compliance with Kerry guidelines.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to optimise the use of all Kerry technologies. Secure agreement and execute pricing plans. Provide input to and ensure staff compliance with all applicable Kerry systems/processes.
- Participate in the development, implementation and achievement of annual budgets. Monitor any variances and work closely with the Sales Operations team to improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Analyse business trends to develop business growth strategy and manage total opportunity pipeline.
Business Development
- Responsible for all sales efforts as Key Account Manager to assigned customers.
- Manage key customer relationships and negotiate customer agreements that deliver against base and new business margin targets.
- Development of strategic accounts.
- Create sustainable growth for Kerry and our customers.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years of Key Account Management experience
- Food/Bev industry experience
- Strong technical background
- FMCG experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Kerry products portfolio and African countries.
