We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Thameside a category B Prison located in Thamesmead, South East London.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
The working hours are from 7:00 – 19:00, 3 days one week and 4 days the following week.
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £43,756 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
Hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs
Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals

Qualifications & Experience required
NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
