*About the role:*
Working within the eating disorder and acute wards, this role involves the development, delivery, and evaluation of psychological treatment using a person-centred approach to assist patients in achieving their positive life goals and optimum level of functioning. The role requires enhanced organisational skills and the ability to work independently and proactively. Experience of eating disorders is essential, and experience of group facilitation is also required. The role is varied, involving direct and indirect clinical work, MDT decision-making, staff training, and supervision. To function at the required level within this role, excellent communication skills are essential when working with the clinical team, patients, and wider community agencies. The successful candidate will also be involved in the evaluation and development of key aspects of the service.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Develop, deliver, and evaluate person-centred psychological treatments for patients within eating disorder and acute wards.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure comprehensive care planning and decision-making.
* Provide staff training and supervision to support best practices in patient care.
* Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions.
* Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reports.
* Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and external community agencies.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of service provision.
*Applicant Requirements:*
* HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Experience working with patients with eating disorders.
* Proven experience in group facilitation.
* Strong organisational and independent working skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to contribute to staff training and supervision.
