With a proven track record in managing online store platforms and product catalogues, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices and be able to leverage data and analytics to drive strategic decisions. You will play a critical role in ensuring that a companys product catalogue is well organised, accurate, and optimised for sales. You will be responsible for managing product information, coordinating updates, optimising the user experience, and ensuring product data is consistent across all platforms. The role requires a combination of data management, content creation, cross-functional collaboration, and a keen understanding of e-commerce dynamics. By ensuring that the catalogue is user-friendly and comprehensive, the Product Catalogue Manager helps drive sales and customer Responsibilities: Catalogue Management Product Listings: Ensure accurate and up-to-date product information is available on the website. Categorisation & Classification: Organise products into appropriate categories, subcategories, and tags to ensure ease of navigation and search functionality for customers. Attribute Management: Dene and manage key product attributes (e.g., size, colour, material) and ensure consistency across the catalog. Product Assortment Planning: Collaborate order management teams to understand product availability, pricing, and promotional strategies. Regularly audit and remove discontinued or out-of-stock products from the catalogue to prevent customers from encountering unavailable items. Integration with Inventory Systems: Work with the inventory or supply chain teams to ensure real-time product availability and stock levels are reflected in the catalogue Catalogue Optimisation Search and Filter Functionality: Optimise search features and lters to improve product discoverability and the overall user experience. User Experience (UX) Focus: Work with the UX/UI team to enhance the product listing pages, ensuring that product details are easy to read and navigate. A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on various catalog features, such as product images, descriptions, or categories, to determine which configurations result in better engagement and conversions. Personalisation: Implement product recommendations, best-sellers, or tailored categories based on customer behaviour or preferences. Content Management Content Quality & Consistency: Maintain high-quality product content by ensuring product descriptions, images, videos, and specifications are consistent, accurate, and aligned with brand standards. Product Descriptions & SEO: Write compelling and informative product descriptions that are optimised for search engines (SEO). This includes keyword integration, engaging copywriting, and addressing customer pain points. Visual Content: Ensure that product images and videos are high-resolution, properly formatted, and showcase the product clearly from multiple angles or use cases. Rich Media & Attributes: Coordinate with design teams to incorporate additional media on digital platforms (eCommerce and marketing) Cross-Department Collaboration Order management: Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure that the catalog reflects current inventory, seasonal changes, sales, and new product launches. Marketing coordination: Partner with the marketing team to highlight specific products through promotions, advertisements, or curated collections. Customer service: Provide support to customer service teams with product details, specifications, or answers to frequently asked questions related to catalog items. Performance Tracking and Reporting Catalogue Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of products within the catalogue, including sales data, search queries, and customer engagement metrics. Identify Gaps or Opportunities: Analyse customer behaviour to identify gaps in the catalogue or opportunities for expansion or optimisation. Reporting & Analytics: Generate regular reports to assess catalogue health, product performance, and potential areas for improvement Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field - 3 years of experience in e-commerce product management - Strong analytical skills and experience working with data analysis tools - Proven track record of successfully launching and managing e-commerce products - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments E-commerce Platform Expertise: Prociency with e-commerce platforms such as Magento or Shopify. (Mandatory) SEO & Content Writing: Strong skills in writing SEO-optimised product descriptions and utilising keywords effectively. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across the catalog. Project Management: Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle large volumes of product data and meet deadlines. Data Analysis: Ability to analyse product performance data and customer behaviour to make data-driven decisions for catalog optimisation. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, IT, customer service, external System Integrators. Product Information Management (PIM): Experience with PIM systems (e.g., Akeneo, Salsify, inRiver) to centralise and streamline product data.
