Job Summary
Leading manufacturer is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment for solvent recovery and recycling technologies. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems while supporting the development of sustainable and eco-friendly solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring minimal downtime, safety compliance, and overall system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Installation & Maintenance
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to relevant safety and industry standards.
- Assemble, test, and install control panels, motors, and other electrical components.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure all systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions, faults, or failures in systems and components using testing equipment and tools.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, or equipment to restore functionality.
- Respond promptly to system breakdowns to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- System Testing & Quality Assurance
- Test electrical systems and circuits using appropriate testing devices to ensure compatibility, reliability, and compliance.
- Conduct quality checks on completed installations and repairs.
- Provide feedback to engineers and technical teams for system improvement.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines and using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct risk assessments before initiating electrical work and implement safety measures.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with engineers and technicians to support the development of new technologies.
- Document work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair records.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding system updates or issues.
Qualifications
- Trade certificate or diploma in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Valid electrician’s license or registration, as required by local regulations.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and industry standards, including wiring regulations.
