Job Title: Buyer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
W Talent is pleased to partner with a highly successful business in Nottingham who provide crucial components to some of the world's largest brands.
We are looking for a Buyer to join their purchasing team to support and manage existing supplier relationships, perform necessary negotiations, and ensure smooth and efficient procurement and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate pricing, resolve supplier issues related to OTIF performance, and assist with invoice and pricing variance queries
Work with suppliers to manage lead times and minimum order quantities (MOQs), optimising inventory levels
Generate and process Purchase Orders for various industry components
Communicate with internal stakeholders to align order status with inventory needs
Monitor open orders and proactively resolve supplier delays, discrepancies, or shortages
Contribute to process improvements to enhance procurement and planning efficienciesKey Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Buying or Purchasing Coordinator-level position with proven exposure to working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods is essential
Experience in a high-volume environment is ideal
Strong ERP Systems ability including Excel us essential
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and suppliers
