The role
-
Direct buying
-
Working within a team of 6 and very closely with an experienced Senior Buyer
-
Responsible for a category of around 15-20 suppliers and a budget of circa £10m
-
Managing suppliers, negotiating prices, assessing risk, and leading/ being a part of projects
-
Travelling to suppliers, mainly in the UK but occasionally Europe
-
Hybrid role - approx 2 days in the office
-
Mon-Fri 8-4/ 9-5 but can be flexible
What you need
-
Degree qualified in a relevant subject i.e. business, supply chain etc
-
Ideally either CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS qualification
-
Min of 2 years experience in a Buying/ Procurement/ Supply Chain role

Experience of direct buying
-
Good analytical/ numerical skills
-
Must be able to drive
