Hays are partnering with a reputable public service organisation to recruit for a Clerical Officer to assist with the administration/production of all products in an accurate and efficient manner whilst providing a high level of customer service. This position is temporary until the end of August 2025.
Your New Role
- Address queries about various products and assist with replacements for lost, stolen, or faulty products
- Maintain and update customer information, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Safeguard sensitive customer information in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Manage and update product statuses, including hot listing lost cards and clearing redundant ones.
- Calculate and process quotations for new and renewal product applications.
- Manage ticketing income, process payments, and ensure secure storage of customer banking details.
- Reconcile financial records and assist with refunds in line with company policies.
- Resolve escalated and duplicate applications to prevent fraudulent activities.
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Minimum of 1 years' experience of working on databases
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths
- Experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel
