Your new role
In this role you will be the primary liaison between the company and a large government body and other key stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all street work, noticing from raising, closing and registering within required timeframes and deadlines
- Responsible for submitting and coordinating street work permits applications, including looking at diversion routes, traffic management, ensuring they meet the legislation within required timeframes and deadlines.
- Ensuring all systems are updated correctly within SLAs and all KPIs are achieved
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Oversee the coordination of street works activities with internal departments and our construction partners
- Lead a small team responsible for street work noticing and permit applications
- Perform general administrative duties
- Assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and processes
What you'll need to succeed - A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above, including Maths and English
- Minimum of 12 months relevant experience in coordinating streetwork using Symology and applying for permits
- Working knowledge of The Street Works (Northern Ireland) Order 1995.
- The ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions is essential for overcoming obstacles and keeping planned work on track.
Desirable
- Possession of relevant street works or traffic management qualification
- Knowledge and experience working in utilities, and particularly the energy sector.
- Relevant experience working within a planning and scheduling team.
