Role Overview
As a Principal Consultant Geologist, you will be based in the Johannesburg office and play a vital role in delivering pre-sales activities for Micromine Origin, a robust solution for exploration, modeling, and resource estimation. Your responsibilities include technical demonstrations, tender responses, proof-of-concept model building, software evaluations, and participation in campaigns, promotions, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Build trust and foster strong relationships with customers.
Understand customers’ business challenges and present tailored solutions.
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations effectively.
Manage proof-of-concept projects.
Utilize geological software for resource modeling, estimation, and grade control.
Communicate effectively with senior personnel in mining organizations.
Stay curious about new technologies and service delivery methods.
About You
You bring a wealth of experience in exploration or mining geology and thrive in client-facing roles that require relationship-building, technical presentations, and effective communication.
RequirementsKey Qualifications and Skills:
A tertiary degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Engineering.
15+ years of experience with geological or mining software solutions.
10+ years of operational experience on mine sites.
Proven success in customer support, relationship building, and technical presentations.
Strong understanding of geological software solutions and their applications.
