Our client in the Automotive and Manufacturing Industry is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their dynamic team. If you meet the below requirements, do not hesitate to send your CV for consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures effective reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance on plant, infrastructure, and equipment to minimize failures and optimize production processes. Coordinates first-line maintenance to minimize downtime. Raises and approves job cards for maintenance, ensuring necessary permits are included and escalated when required (e.g., hot work, vessel entry, elevated work).
- Leads fault analysis on equipment failures using methods like Root Cause Analysis, 5 WHY, and 8D. Ensures safety and cleanliness of equipment and work areas, adhering to housekeeping principles. Operates within established controls and procedures to maintain operational integrity. Identifies and reports risks to management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations to prevent wasteful expenditure.
- Enforces Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance to minimize risks and incidents. Maintains strong working relationships with internal and external customers and represents the organization in meetings with stakeholders. Solves problems creatively while upholding integrity and core values.
- Manages employee performance through signed agreements, quarterly appraisals, and collaboration with HR on development plans. Promotes ongoing employee training and development and addresses employee relations matters promptly and fairly.
- Contributes to budget preparation, ensures efficient use of financial and other resources, and monitors expenditures against budget, reporting deviations to management. Actively seeks opportunities to control and reduce costs.
Requirements
Certificate in Technical discipline or Maintenance related fields (NQF 5).
Diploma in Technical discipline or Maintenance related fields (NQF 6) Advantageous.
Trade Test (NQF 5).
Certificate in First Line Management (FLMP) (NQF 5).
Experience in Maintenance operations in a Manufacturing environment of which:
2 Years should be at Supervisory level.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, and processes.
