Person Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:

Time served engineer, ideally from an FMCG / Chemical engineering environment
Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND/NVQL3
Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments

Job Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Working as the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will ideally have experience of maintaining manufacturing, packaging and plant machinery from a mechanical perspective.

Work in partnership with the Engineering Manager to carry out reactive repairs to site machinery
Completing line changeovers such as replacing tooling, components and materials
Responding to breakdowns and working to PPM s.
Troubleshooting & practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.
