Person Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
- Time served engineer, ideally from an FMCG / Chemical engineering environment
- Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND/NVQL3
- Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments
Job Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Working as the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will ideally have experience of maintaining manufacturing, packaging and plant machinery from a mechanical perspective.
- Work in partnership with the Engineering Manager to carry out reactive repairs to site machinery
- Completing line changeovers such as replacing tooling, components and materials
- Responding to breakdowns and working to PPM s.
- Troubleshooting & practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
- Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
- Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.
