We are seeking a skilled Stores & Yard Person with expertise in stores and inventory management tasks and able to operate a Counterbalance FLT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing stock, issuing stock and tools to employees, and ensuring smooth operations in the Stores and Yard. You must have a current driving licence to be considered for this role
Salary: 24127 per year plus company benefits including Pension.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday 06:00 to 14:30, 30 minutes unpaid lunch break and two 15 minute paid breaks
Stores & Yard Person Key Responsibilities:
Operate a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT)
Conduct stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records
Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
Book in stock onto and out of the system accurately
Liaise with suppliers to manage deliveries and returns
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all health and safety guidelines
Stores & Yard Person Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role
Valid/Refreshed Counterbalance FLT licence
Full driving licence
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in using inventory management systems, experience of Sage 200 would be beneficial
Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks
