Residential Children s Home Manager

Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week Office based
Our client are seeking a Registered Manager for one of their Children's Homes.
- Effectively manage a team of staff providing care for children & young people in a residential setting, and the resources within the team
- Ensure that the care provided is of the highest quality in an environment which supports and encourages children to reach their full potential
- Prioritise and allocate work within the team
- Provide good quality and timely support and supervision for team members
- Ensure performance review development are carried out
- Ensure that documentation, record keeping, accounting, and communication is maintained within the team
- Ensure the health and safety of staff and individuals, and the safety of equipment and operations within the team
- Manage delegated budgets, to enable support for individual care plans
- Respond to and ensure appropriate action is taken following internal and external inspections, audits, complaints and investigations
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of the cared for children and young people
- Encourage appropriate behaviour and manage challenging behaviour both within and outside the home
Requirements
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Level 5 or equivalent in Leadership and Management
- Must have recent management of staff experience, as a Registered Manager of a Children s Home
- Detailed knowledge of Children s Homes Regulations and Safeguarding frameworks
- Experience of working with young people who have experienced adverse childhood
- Experience of supporting management of budgets
- Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
