Our client is currently recruiting for a Yard Labourer / Forklift Driver. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent, full-time basis
ROLE
The main purpose of the role will be to unload, segregate, and store incoming waste.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Competently operate a 3.5T counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Loading and unloading of Waste.
- Manual Bulking and sorting of waste
- Housekeeping activities including sweeping and collecting litter
- To liaise with Site Chemist ensuring that Hazardous Waste is correctly identified labelled and segregated correctly.
- Packaging, and preparation of Waste Load.
- Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are properly maintained/serviced with all required checks carried out.
- Liaise with Chemist to ensure accurate completion of all paperwork ie Incoming Verification Forms
REQUIREMENTS:
- Full driving licence
- Forklift experience
- Dangerous Good Transport Experience (not essential as training would be provided)
- Chemical Awareness Training
- Ability to work in a health and safety driven environment
