This role would entail being responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety Management
- Conduct regular risk assessments and lead incident investigations
- Plan and conduct internal health and safety audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and other relevant standards
- Monitor compliance testing for equipment and occupational hygiene findings
- Establish and maintain legal health and safety appointments
Environmental Management
- Oversee waste management, environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives
- Achieve and maintain ISO 14001 certification and manage effluent discharge permits and compliance
- Promote eco-friendly practices and implement continuous environmental improvements
Employee Engagement and Training
- Organise and facilitate safety training programs, including hazard awareness and proper PPE usage
Requirements:
- Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent
- 5 - 10 years experience in a Health and Safety Managerial role
- Experience in ISO 14001 and 45001 essential
