Engineering Manager - Facilities Management Location: KwaZulu-Natal
About the Role: We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee facilities management operations, ensuring machinery compliance and implementing strategic FM solutions across multiple sites. This senior position combines technical expertise with strategic leadership in a healthcare/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of statutory machinery compliance programs
- Oversee occupational health and safety matters related to machinery and assets
- Manage integrated facilities management solutions and service delivery
- Direct planned maintenance programs and statutory record keeping
- Provide engineering and OHS&E support across KwaZulu-Natal
- Manage key customer relationships and service level agreements
- Drive commercial and financial targets
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- M+4, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Professional Registration with ECSA
- Government Certificate of Competency
- BSc Engineering
- Management Development Program certification
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as Senior Facilities Manager in Healthcare/Manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience with steam operations and boiler systems
- Previous GMR 2(1) appointee experience
- Proven track record in contractor and SLA management
- Strong understanding of Labor Relations Act and IR Management
