Responsibilities:
Your duties will be included but not limited to:
o Plan and monitor loads for a range of different clients,
o Maintain and enforce planning procedures and practices for the company,
o Ensure that planned loads are suitable for the selected carrier,
o Ensure that planned loads fall within the requirements of insurer protocols,
o Maintain maximum capacity on carriers at all times,
o Plan loads in such a manner to avoid damage,
o To keep the number of deliveries per carrier to a maximum of 3 stops unless authorized by senior management,
o Expedite urgent deliveries in a cost-effective manner,
o Communicate with all stakeholders in the event of changes to loads, delays, breakdowns, etc.
o Ensure on-time delivery time frames are met,
o Investigate late delivery times and report accordingly,
o Performs other duties as assigned by senior management.
Requirements and skills
o Grade 12 certificate
o Logistics qualification will be advantageous.
o 2 – years Logistics Planning experience
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
o Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
o Attention to detail
o Proficient with Microsoft Office
o Own reliable transport
