We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our Sales Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining active long-term relationships with key decision makers at customer site level and continuously promoting Metso’s value adding offering.
The successful candidate will also help to create a healthy business with high customer satisfaction with the site accounts.
In this position, you will report to the Director Sales and Services, Central & East Africa . This position is mainly located in Centurion, Gauteng.
TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join the Sales Team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Mining Customers, Engineering and Drawing Offices, Complex Proposals Commercial Team, Project Execution Team, Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Product Lines, Quote and Order Management Teams, and Product Support Teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible to deliver improved customer satisfaction levels
- Support customers with areas of improvement and optimizations on their plants
- Create relationships with key people at the site and share leads with the organization, connecting key interfaces
- Deliver profitable business growth from allocated sites, measured on KPIs such as Order intake, NPS, Net Sales, etc.
- Engage with GM Level to supervisor level stakeholders on customer sites
- Walk customer plants and generate leads to take forward
- Focus on after-market business while identifying investment/capex opportunities and conveying customer requirements to capex sales
- Plan and maintain full visibility to the activities of any Metso function at the site
- Seek and coordinate for best resources and channels for customer-facing activities
- Understand customer business and argue Metso’s added value
- Drive site sales activities with the cross-organizational site account team and understand customer’s capex and opex related decisions and buying timetable
- Drive account planning and implementation (strategy, relationship, site level budgeting, activity plan, sales roadmap and plan)
- Execute on actions and have a deep understanding of concentrator plants
- Maintain and share information of installed base, performance and shutdown schedules and plans
- Orchestrate customer satisfaction surveys and closed loop activities and ensure continuous improvement activities
- Support Accounts Receivable and Payment Collections
- Be an active member of the MA Key Account/Global Key Account team I/A
WHO YOU ARE
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelors’ Degree (BEng / MEng) – Mechanical Engineering / Process Engineering / Technology Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with customers in the Mining arena
- Sales or Account Management skills will be advantageous
- Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment
- Computer literate in Sales Force, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI and PowerPoint
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust
- Strong communication skills and a serving leader
