Job Title: Manufacturing Manager
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: up to 40,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Role Summary:
You will be required to lead our clients production operations based from their state-of-the art facility in Ashford. You will be tasked with driving efficiency, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Manage and motivate the Production Team.
- To ensure the smooth running of production.
- Adherence to GMP requirements.
- Ensure that all products are produces to specification and OTIF.
- Ensure that all staff comply with Health and Safety procedures.
- Development of the production team to optimise team performance.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Track and report key performance metrics, analysing to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Ensure full communication flows across the organisation.
- The organisation of the production team to ensure targets are achieved.
- Ensure GMP and Quality standards are understood and always maintained.
- Work alongside the Technical team to be audit ready at all times.
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure continuous improvement.
- Take ownership for the operations and processes.
- Support the project team to develop site investment opportunities.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- A background in food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC and GMP requirements.
- Understanding of relevant production processes and engineering principals.
- Previous management experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
