Responsible for credit risk mitigation activities. This includes researching and analysing new and existing counterparties to determine appropriate levels of exposure. Also credit support arrangements, monitoring and reporting of credit exposures and events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Monitor that pre-set tolerances are inputted in the system
- Credit Risk Management
- Account approval (before and ongoing)
- Credit limit reviews
- Assessing group exposure
- Commercial terms analysis
- Political risk exposure (on each customer) Collecting information
- Political risk exposure (on each customer) analysis (daily changing situations)
- Regional (country) risk exposure (daily changing situations)
- Special terms (arrears, legal action, arrangements)
- Ensure that credit application forms are correctly completed and copies of liquor licence, Identification Document’s etc. are attached
- Obtain trade references/TransUnion Credit
- Vet all customers from a Know Your Customer (KYC) perspective
- Order evaluation
- Exception management on orders - System prompts a manual order release and escalate arrear customers to Receivables for release and action.
- Release or reject orders timeously to ensure deliveries not adversely affected where customers have exceeded their credit limit
- Reporting
- Monitoring, investigation and reporting of limit breaches
- Actively involved in the management of a credit portfolio and expected to identify and analyse portfolio changes, events and analytics to upper management
- Ensure that the ISO 9001:2000 documentation is maintained and applied
- Stakeholder Management
- Maintain sound working relationship with stakeholders
- Providing timely response to internal and external credit risk queries.
- Highly Confident, articulate individual who is a team player and works well with CSC.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and be able to respond to changes in priorities
- Ability to explain complex ideas in a cohesive, crystal-clear manner
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient and enthusiastic individual who has strong desire to grow within OTC

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Credit Management Diploma (Minimum)
- 2-4 years previous Credit risk management experience.
- Call centre experience
- Good financial modelling skills
- Working knowledge of FMCG
- Liquor industry knowledge
- Experience in export trade credit
- Good understanding of business processes, controls and documentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to articulate and present to senior management
- Strong attention to detail and confident in asking questions
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic and able to respond to changes in priorities
- Confident and articulate team player
- Good and broad understanding of credit risk management domestic and international
- MS Office applications advantageous
