Your responsibility will include but is not limited to:
Oversee and maintain the fixed asset registers, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Prepare and review financial reports that meet industry standards and provide actionable insights
Support month-end and year-end financial processes to ensure smooth reporting cycles
Perform reconciliations, guaranteeing adherence to accounting policies and regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure precise financial reporting and analysis
Process financial transactions efficiently using SAP, always ensuring accuracy
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, offering valuable insights into various departments
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Conduct regular bank account reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for
Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations with precision
Prepare and submit VAT returns on time, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within financial operations
Analyze costs and financial performance to support strategic decision-making
Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as required by management, contributing to the teams success
Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in SAP and other accounting software
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Minimum of 1 year commercial experience performing the full finance function
Qualification:
Relevant Financial or Accounting diploma or degree
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles would be advantageous
Grade 12 (Matric)
