We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical warehouse/logistics professional to oversee and optimise the data management processes for our clients Warehouse & Logistics departments.
Working for an industrial/engineering company, you will form part of a management team for the department.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data across various business functions.
This position requires a strong understanding of business processes, logistics, and transportation management systems to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.
Duties
- Manage and maintain data integrity across all systems, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in business processes related to data handling.
- Utilise AS400 systems to manage inventory and logistics data effectively.
- Utilize Power BI or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Monitor profit loss metrics to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Using accurate and real time data, present findings in form of reports/graphs etc to SMT.
- Conduct regular audits & root cause analysis of data processes and recommend enhancements as necessary.
- Train staff on best practices for data entry, management, and utilisation of transportation management systems.
- Assist in the development of reports that support business objectives and operational performance.
Requirements
- Proficient in inventory management practices.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
- Knowledge of retail management principles.
- Proficiency in inventory systems and software.
- Capable of communicating report to senior management across the business.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data analysis tools.
This is a days role, approx 37 - 40 hours per week, but flexibility is essential for this role.
