WINDMEUL EGGS, situated near Paarl, is looking for an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic. The purpose of the role is to manage and ensure cost-effective and efficient maintenance of the truck fleet and other company mechanical repairs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with Trade Test Certificate
- 5+ years of service, repairs, and maintenance on trucks/agri equipment
- MS Office and Internet proficiency
- Ability to work flexi hours
- Ability to work independently
- Hardworking with high energy levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical defects on trucks and other farm vehicles
- Investigate and repair, including the exchange of oil and filters and service
- Check brakes and other hydraulic systems
- Refurbish and repair engines and gearboxes
- Manage the mechanical budget
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Advise on and source alternative suppliers which are cost-effective
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
