Job Title: Delivery Lead (Technology Team Lead) in Data Engineering
We are seeking a seasoned Delivery Lead to oversee the data warehouse team responsible for the full product lifecycle of software components in our central warehouse. This role requires providing directions and leading the team to ensure successful delivery of required functionality and maintenance-related tasks within Bank Data Operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in warehousing, databases, and stored procedure development. They will also possess excellent stakeholder relationship engagement and management skills, as well as responsibility for delivery in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimisation, innovation, and people development in data engineering environments.
- Act as competency lead for the Data Engineering function in the Client Value product line.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead technical teams to achieve high-quality results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - Programming.
- At least 5 to 7 years' engineering experience in data warehouse software development or at least 4 years' engineering and 2 years' experience in leading a technical team.
- Experience in warehousing, databases, and stored procedure development.
- Stakeholder relationship engagement and management.
- Responsibility for delivery in a fast-moving environment.
Technical Skills:
- SQL, AWS Redshift, Airflow, Control M, Power Bi, Jira.
Desirable Skills:
- Kimball methodology.
- Warehouse data processing.
- Agile principles and methodologies.
- General business acumen.
- Banking industry knowledge.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
