Planet Fitness is looking for a Head of Secondary Revenue who will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize non-core revenue streams across the organization. This role involves identifying new opportunities, managing existing secondary revenue channels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, revenue optimization, and strategic planning, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that enhance the companys overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Revenue Growth
- Define and implement a comprehensive strategy for secondary revenue growth, including partnerships, ancillary products, and other non-core revenue streams.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities in line with the companys business goals.
- Develop innovative pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies to drive revenue.
Revenue Channel Management - Oversee existing secondary revenue streams, such as advertising, sponsorships, ancillary services, and loyalty programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders to maximize collaboration and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of secondary revenue channels, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
Business Development and Partnerships - Identify and secure strategic partnerships that align with the companys vision and revenue objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure mutual value creation and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote secondary revenue initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making - Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform revenue strategies.
- Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of secondary revenue initiatives.
- Present regular reports and recommendations to the executive team.
Team Leadership and Collaboration - Lead a team of professionals focused on secondary revenue initiatives, providing mentorship and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, operations, finance, and product to ensure alignment with secondary revenue goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Education and Experience Skills and Competencies
- Bachelors degree in business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in revenue management, business development, or a related role, with a focus on secondary/ancillary revenue streams.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth through innovative strategies and partnerships.
