REQUIREMENTS:
10 years' experience in civil engineering.
BEng / BSc Eng Degree or BTech / Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Possesses extensive knowledge in various civil engineering disciplines.
Registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist at ECSA.
Valid driver's licence.
Experience in industrial (Oil & Gas, Chemical and Power Generation) and mining sectors, will be advantageous.
PREFERRED:
- Design experience in roads, water, sewer, and stormwater.
- Geometric / Pavement Design would be great.
- Experience with work on Provincial / National Roads EE would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry (Brownfields) will be an advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Preparing quotations and tenders for client submission.
- Interpreting client requirements to appropriately define project scope and deliverables.
- Effective and efficient planning, management, and execution of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, resources, and quality, including changes to project scope.
- Preparing contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4 requirements.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong civil engineering design skills and principles.
- Executing engineering deliverables to industry standards and client requirements.
- Reviewing drawings.
- Managing and working with a project team including sub-contractors and vendors.
- Collaborating and liaising with professional stakeholders from various engineering disciplines.
- Maintaining and developing client relationships.
