Introduction
The main purpose of the role is to ensure efficient operation of the paper machine. The main duties include:
- Assist operators and controllers in the plant as and when required.
- Learning the rewinder, pope, paper machine and RCF plant.
- Feed paper to start a new reel on the re-winder.
- Running rewinder.
- Making a join after paper break at the rewinder.
- Assist monitoring the rewinder equipment condition and inform maintenance when not in good condition.
- Assist at the paper machine during tail feeding.
- Assist during breakdowns and shut.
- Assist with troubleshooting during periods of poor run-ability at the rewinder.
- Assist in any assigned maintenance tasks.
- Adherence to safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to housekeeping standards.
- Assist anywhere on the plant as requested by senior management.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric with a pass in Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Technical diploma or B-Tech in Pulp and Paper.
- Preferably, one year experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of Safe Material Handling Requirements.
