Do you want to impact educators and institutions across Southern Africa? Our sales teams thrive on building meaningful relationships with educators and learners. We are seeking a driven, energetic, and motivated Business Development Manager to sell and promote our Access portfolio to medical and engineering educational institutions, educational libraries, and faculty, across Africa, with a main focus on South Africa and surrounding nations.
How can you make an Impact?
You will be responsible for increasing market share by adopting a business development approach for new customers, fostering relationships with dedicated accounts, and working closely with our existing local partners.
Our new Business Development Manager will be able to travel across South Africa, and other parts of Africa, using our sales framework to create opportunities and long-lasting relationships with key customers. You will successfully achieve assigned revenue targets by closing deals and engaging with all necessary stakeholders through the sales cycle.
What can you expect?
- Lead cross and up sell strategies for our existing customers, demonstrating success through increased revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities, progressing through trial-and-close sales, and building a new business pipeline that will support digital sales growth.
- Own, manage and report on territory key performance indicators (KPI's) - including, lead/opportunity status, win:loss, forecasting, performance versus budget, amongst others.
- Execute on a customer retention and account management strategy that will ensure customer success and renewal rates are achieved for our subscription products.
- Partner with customer success and marketing teams to support product optimisation and customer support.
We're looking for someone with: - Direct experience working in a digital educational solution environment.
- Established sales or business development experience coupled with the understanding of managing the complete sales cycle.
- Experience within a digital, software, or online products environment would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in selling to African countries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent English is a must.
