A minimum of 2 years experience in similar role, with a good understanding of manufacturing and FMCG costings would be a requirement for this opportunity. Duties include:
General Accounting Functions:
- Assist finance team with general finance functions such as creditors postings, retail recons, assisting with general ledger transactions
Cost Accounting Functions:
- Maintain and update cost accounting systems and procedures specific to manufacturing operations
- Analyse and allocate costs to various operations
- Conduct variance analysis to identifying factors impacting production costs
- Analyse inventory variances and implement corrective measures to optimise resource utilization
- Monitor project costs and provide financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all BOM's and costings relating to BOM's are maintained
